    The next VALEAC Quarterly Meeting will be hosted by the Galax Police Department.

    Captain James Cox of the Galax Police Department has made arrangements for us to be meeting at Crossroad Institute located at 1117 East Stuart Dr., Galax, Va. 24333.

    The business meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. The training topic will be Assessor Training, which will be conducted following the business meeting. Lunch will be provided by VALEAC at no cost to attendees. Feel free to arrive around 9:00 for networking and fellowship!

    The next VALEAC Quarterly Meeting and training will be held at the Bass Pro Shops in Ashland.

    Bas Pro Shops is located at 11550 N. Lakeridge Parkway, Ashland, VA 23005-8047. Visit www.basspro.com and select Richmond, VA store for driving directions. There are several hotels located nearby in Virginia Center Commons,

    The business meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. Training will be focusing on the financial and evidence standards and will begin after the business meeting. Lunch will be provided by VALEAC at no cost to attendees. Feel free to arrive around 9:00 for networking and fellowship!

    We will be voting on proposed By Laws changes as well as holding Board Elections during the business meeting. The current bylaws and the proposed changes are attached below. If someone from you agency will not be able to attend the meeting, please be sure to submit a proxy vote for elections and the proposed By Laws changes as described below.

    Please be sure to register via the DCJS website in you are planning to attend, so we can plan for lunch and training accordingly. Please register by April 8th so we can adequately plan for refreshments and lunch.

    Membership Dues for 2010 can now be paid! You may pay your agency’s dues by completing a Membership Dues Invoice (attached below), and mail it to Treasurer Bobby Mawyer at the address provided on the invoice. Or, you can complete a dues invoice and pay it at the meeting.
